1. Who we are
Ferah Fresh (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Melbourne-based deep cleaning service operated from Victoria, Australia. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. What information we collect
Personal information you provide: Name, email address, phone number, residential suburb and address (provided at booking), and any special instructions or notes you share about your property.
Payment information: Payment card details are collected and processed entirely by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment provider. At booking, Stripe saves your card via a SetupIntent so we can charge it 72 hours before your appointment. We never see or store your full card number. Our database holds only Stripe references (customer ID, payment method ID, and any payment intent / refund IDs linked to your booking).
Optional magic-link sign-in: If you choose to sign in, we send a one-time link to your email through Supabase Auth. We store only your email address and a Supabase user ID to link your bookings to an account view at /account. No passwords are collected or stored. You can sign out and book as a guest at any time.
Booking information: Property type, room counts, clean preferences, scheduled date and time, booking status, and pricing.
Technical information: IP address, browser type, device info, and usage analytics collected when you visit ferahfresh.com.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Process your booking and coordinate the cleaning service
- Contact you to confirm, reschedule, or follow up on bookings
- Send booking confirmations, invoices, and service updates
- Comply with legal obligations (tax, consumer protection)
- Improve our services and website
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Who we share your information with
We share the minimum necessary information with:
- Stripe (payment processing), saves and charges cards, stores card tokens and refund records
- Supabase Auth (optional sign-in), delivers one-time sign-in links to your email
- Resend (email delivery), delivers transactional emails
- Supabase (data storage), hosts our booking database (EU/US servers)
- Vercel (website hosting), hosts ferahfresh.com
- Our cleaners on the day of service (name, address, booking details)
- Government bodies if legally compelled
5. Data security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
6. Data retention
We retain your booking and contact information for 7 years to comply with Australian tax and record-keeping requirements. You can request deletion of your personal information at any time, subject to these legal retention obligations.
7. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information
- Request deletion (subject to retention obligations)
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au

8. Cookies and analytics

9. Children's privacy
Our service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or legal requirements. Significant changes will be notified by email or prominent notice on our site. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
